My Husband has a 567 credit score what kind of credit cards can he get to rebuild his credit?

Also I have a 704 and I have no job and I was wondering if me and him went into together and tried to get a vehicle from a used car place if that would work with my score and his paychecks?

My Husband has a 567 credit score what kind of credit cards can he get to rebuild his credit?

Yes very possible if you have atrade in or down payment. 704 is very good. 567 is not hopeless

Good luck

My Husband has a 567 credit score what kind of credit cards can he get to rebuild his credit?

HBCS cards, particularly Orchard Bank

My Husband has a 567 credit score what kind of credit cards can he get to rebuild his credit?

I%26#039;d say try together. Secured credit cards (where you set it up on a savings acct) help to build credit. the down side is that he%26#039;ll be paying astronomical interest rates to borrow his own money.

My Husband has a 567 credit score what kind of credit cards can he get to rebuild his credit?

Stick with your idea of getting an installment auto loan. Credit cards do very little to improve your score. The points you gain by paying on time every month are almost an even trade for the points you loose in debt to income ratio. The auto loan however, will add more points each month you pay on time. He also should look at the %26quot;problems%26quot;: on his credit report and make arrangements with as many as possible.

My Husband has a 567 credit score what kind of credit cards can he get to rebuild his credit?

he would have to get a secured card. Basically you would put down a deposit of, let%26#039;s say, $500 bucks and that would be your limit. Oddly enough you would also pay interest on that money, even though it;s your own, and it would be just like a real credit card. It would essentially be a debit card that gets reported to the credit bureaus. as for both getting a car, probably not. even though you have a good score, you have no job, therefore no income. you could possibly work out something with the dealership as their desire is to make a buck so you might be able to strike it big and land that auto. It also depends on how much you husband makes at his job as well.

My Husband has a 567 credit score what kind of credit cards can he get to rebuild his credit?

Like other answers, start with Secured credit cards. That%26#039;s a good way to build up credit.

As for the vehicle, even though you have good credit but no job, and he is the opposite, they WILL use both your credit for the vehicle application.

They will give you financing (due to your credit score), but they will get you with a very bad interest rate (due to his credit score).

My Husband has a 567 credit score what kind of credit cards can he get to rebuild his credit?

Usually companies won%26#039;t do that unless you both are on the loan... your best bet would be to have him go to a like a buy here pay here kind of place... and have you be the cosigner.. that way he can work on rebuilding his credit.. you can use his pay checks.. and your credit score might get you a better deal... as far as credit cards... if he has that low of credit.. why would you want something that could potentially put you in a bad place.. his best bet.. would be a prepaid credit card until he gets finances (car loan) under control or whatever.. then look at something like www.totalcard.com or www.orchardbank.com they are really high interest rates... but that is what happens when you have bad credit... also... another one that might help is capital 1... they have lower limit cards for people with not so good credit.. hope this helps :)

My Husband has a 567 credit score what kind of credit cards can he get to rebuild his credit?

your husband will be able to get a credit card and the two of you together will be able to get an auto loan

click on my pic to go to my profile there is a bad credit link there

you don%26#039;t have bad credit that is okay

there is a company that will have credit card companies for your husband

and lenders that will take into account your scores for a auto loan

My Husband has a 567 credit score what kind of credit cards can he get to rebuild his credit?

Aspire Visa, First Premier Bank.. also if he goes to his bank and ask for a secure credit card against his own money.. that helps... and yes, you can be his co-signer, that will help him also.

I%26#039;m afraid of credit cards?

Don%26#039;t....they are the devil.

I%26#039;m afraid of credit cards?

YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID OF THEM. STAY AWAY. DON%26#039;T GET ONE

I%26#039;m afraid of credit cards?

Get one with a cute cartoon on the front or a soothing beach or something.;)

I%26#039;m afraid of credit cards?

If you are able to pay it off every month in full, then it will help your credit when you want to try to get a car loan or a house mortgage. You won%26#039;t be charged any interest that way either. If you don%26#039;t pay it off in full then you will have to pay interest. Go ahead, apply for a credit card. Get one where you collect points like Air Miles. I have gotten so many free groceries and gone to so many free movies from cashing in my Air Miles.

I%26#039;m afraid of credit cards?

your probably to young to have one

I%26#039;m afraid of credit cards?

be afraid, be very afraid. i fyou don%26#039;t know how to manage them they will get you into trouble. payday loans are worse.

I%26#039;m afraid of credit cards?

Omg, Don%26#039;t Do it!!!!! You%26#039;ll be Sorry, Cuz its so Easy to Max it out in so little time!

I%26#039;m afraid of credit cards?

What? No self control? Been there/Done That! It%26#039;s all about self control with a credit card! When I got mad-I had to shop. When I got bored-I had to shop. When I got invited to parties-I had to shop. I had 10 of them! Shopped until I dropped! The bills came - I dropped on the floor and cried like a baby - I had to get me something to drink and I%26#039;m not talking about Kool-Aid - It was SERIOUS! But I consolidated the debt, paid all of it off, cut them up except for the MasterCard and Visa and stuck them down in the garbage disposal! I WAS DONE! So you just make sure you get one! One to start! You%26#039;ll be able to tell when you start losing control. Your hand will start shaking while you%26#039;re reaching for your wallet. But in my case that could have been the alcohol I was drinking. Anyway, watch the interest rates and I wish you luck in whatever you decide to do!

I%26#039;m afraid of credit cards?

It%26#039;s good to be afraid of a credit card. It can be an asset, if

you use it ONLY when necessary. They are so easy to use, they

can cause you major debt problems if you are not cautious. A good rule is, don%26#039;t charge anything you can%26#039;t pay off in 2 months.

The interest rate they charge you is extremely high. See if you can get a card with set limits ($500-$1,000), that way you won%26#039;t

go so deeply in debt that you will never get out.

I%26#039;m afraid of credit cards?

you should be

Should i cut up credit cards that i am no longer using?

NO, and don%26#039;t cancel them. Put them away use them on a rotational basis( once every six month for minor purchase you can pay in full when the bill arrives. That will keep the acct active. Your FICA is calculated by the credit limit of all cards and outstanding balances.

Should i cut up credit cards that i am no longer using?

WHOA!!! No one should have credit cards to begin with. I urge you to find a local radio station that airs the Dave Ramsey show and start listening. You can also visit his website at www.daveramsey.com. CUT THOSE CARDS UP! Report It

Should i cut up credit cards that i am no longer using?

Please do and inform the card company.

Should i cut up credit cards that i am no longer using?

Yes and close the accounts with the credit card companies as well

Should i cut up credit cards that i am no longer using?

The truth is before you go cutting up your cards you should go back and review the %26quot;terms%26quot;. Perhaps one of the cards you are not using has better terms than one you are using and you could transfer your balance at a better rate. Credit is a tool. Evaluate the required payment % as well. Also evaluate the number of days before your first bill is due. The is called your %26quot;grace%26quot; period.

Time is money whether you are saving or spending.

Should i cut up credit cards that i am no longer using?

cutting up the cards does nothing you must cancel the accounts

Should i cut up credit cards that i am no longer using?

Yes, do destroy them in some manner so they could not be used.

If your card balance is down to Zero, and you are not using them, you should also cancell the cards.

Should i cut up credit cards that i am no longer using?

Yes, and close the accounts. Unless, this will mean you have no cards at all. If that is the case keep at least one or two and use them rarely, and as soon as you get the bill pay it off. This will help keep your credit scores up, if your scores aren%26#039;t good it will help you build them back up.

Have a GREAT day!

Should i cut up credit cards that i am no longer using?

If the accounts are closed, or if you NEVER have intention of using them again, by all means cut them up.

But if you still have the credit open, for the sake of your credit score, you should never voluntarily close an account. You see, your credit score is based on a series of murky factors, most of which the reporting companies are doing their best to keep from us. However, the one thing we do know is that the amount of AVAILABLE credit vs. how much you are actually using is a big factor. The more you have available and the less you have used (high limits, low balances) the better off you are.

If these are fairly innocuous cards, I would keep them open. Use them once a year and immediately pay off the balance. That will keep them actively reporting and help your score.

Should i cut up credit cards that i am no longer using?

Although you might cut up the cards, it might be best NOT to cancel the accounts. Your credit report looks at total amount of credit available vs used, as well as the length of time that you have had accounts.

If you cancel them, you will reduce your amount of available credit on the report and also lose any time history that you have - resulting in a WORSE credit score - believe it or not

Should i cut up credit cards that i am no longer using?

Speaking as the nation%26#039;s top credit expert (visit www.LearnAboutCredit.com)

If you want to destroy your credit scores, if you want much HIGHER RATES on auto loans, if you want to potentially destroy your chance for ANY home loan, then by all means cancel your credit cards.

Credit cards are a very important part of credit. How you use them, how you abuse them, how you pay them or don%26#039;t pay them or pay them late will affect your credit scores by HUNDREDS of points one way or another.

However if you abuse credit, if you cannot control your spending, then credit cards are like crack cocaine to you, and you should keep them open, but dramatically lower your credit limits--which WILL hurt your scores, but not nearly as much as closing the accounts.

I heard that canceling credit cards negatively affect your credt score better to keep active with li

balance? but what about those with annual fees? i keep them actve dont use them but pay that fee?

I heard that canceling credit cards negatively affect your credt score better to keep active with little to no

That only matters if you plan to continue to play with snakes.

Tell the banks to EFF OFF and quit putting yourself into slavery to the Great FICO!

I heard that canceling credit cards negatively affect your credt score better to keep active with little to no

Having too much open credit also hurts your score. Quit worrying about you FICO score and just use your own judgement. Pay off cards EVERY month and only use them in an emergency.

Pay CASH!

www.daveramsey.com

I heard that canceling credit cards negatively affect your credt score better to keep active with little to no

you should find a card with no fee and then call your current credit card company and ask them to waive the annual fee. then charge a small amount each year and pay it off in full. Never cancel your card unless you are in serious financial debt and cannot control your spending

I heard that canceling credit cards negatively affect your credt score better to keep active with little to no

your credit score should still be going up if you pay on time in my opinion i would cancel all cards not needed and up grade the best one .

I heard that canceling credit cards negatively affect your credt score better to keep active with little to no

Yes, that is exactly what you do if you have no other balance on the card. FYI, some companies will automatically close the account after inactivity for 30-90 days. I would suggest like maybe making a $1-$5 charge every so often at least just to keep the account and history to help increse / maintain your fico score.

Can you use debit/credit cards at Disney World? like at the gift shops?

Yes, Disney takes just about any form of money there is ;-)

It is no problem to use your credit card, almost every places accepts them. Just be sure to ask before hand so you don%26#039;t get everything or order everything and then not be able to pay.

As the other answer said, you can always make your room key at Disney your charge card. When you check in you give them the card, they link it to your room key (if you have children or anyone that you don%26#039;t want to have charging abilities they can take care of that as well) and then you don%26#039;t have to worry, just give your room key anywhere at Disney and everything is charged right back to your card.

Whats the problem with credit cards with fixed rate?

depends on the rate

Whats the problem with credit cards with fixed rate?

I%26#039;d rather have a fixed rate than a variable one. Seems like variable ones go up, but never down.

Whats the problem with credit cards with fixed rate?

why do you need credit..?? cant you live in your means..?? save your money and be debt free...

If you have 5 credit cards at 75% or higher, will paying 1 off make more of impact than paying 3 to

Reducing all 5 to below 30% is best. The credit utilization rate is estimated to affect your credit on individual items as well as across the board as an average. Fair Isaac reports that you should keep all account balances below 30% of their credit limits to improve your credit score.

If you have 5 credit cards at 75% or higher, will paying 1 off make more of impact than paying 3 to 40%?

paying 3 cc to 40% will be more beneficial for your credit score.

It all really depends on what you charge to your credit card. The most basic cash back credit cards pay 1% rebates on purchases.

The better ones pay more than 1% (normally between 2% and 5%) on items like gasoline, supermarket, drugstores etc.

You need to write down your expenditure, look at the rebate formula of credit cards and figure out the best one for yourelf.

If i pay off my two credit cards to 0 balance in one month, how much will my credit score rise?

not much....the formula is much more complex than two credit cards with 0 balance.

If i pay off my two credit cards to 0 balance in one month, how much will my credit score rise?

Probably none because having credit cards open causes your credit score to decrease.

If i pay off my two credit cards to 0 balance in one month, how much will my credit score rise?

depends on a lot of things, how much did you owe in the first place, how low was your score, how long have you held a balance, etc. Too be honest though it probaby won%26#039;t rise very much. It will take a few months for it to make a real impact.

If i pay off my two credit cards to 0 balance in one month, how much will my credit score rise?

not it alot actually it might go down cos creditors usaually like the idea that u r payin on time n payin interest rate

If i pay off my two credit cards to 0 balance in one month, how much will my credit score rise?

Actually my credit card company %26amp; bank informed me that paying off the remaining balance right away doesn%26#039;t affect the score that much.. but if you pay a min. balance each month.. because then you will also be paying interest *don%26#039;t miss a payment* your credit score will rise a lot faster!

If i pay off my two credit cards to 0 balance in one month, how much will my credit score rise?

Depends on what the balance on your credit cards is. If one has $50 on it and the other has like $75 then your score wont rise much. If it is more toward the thousands then it will increase greatly.

If i pay off my two credit cards to 0 balance in one month, how much will my credit score rise?

probably not any at all... it will take several months after you have paid them off, to reflect your credit score.

If i pay off my two credit cards to 0 balance in one month, how much will my credit score rise?

It really depends on what they were and many other factors like how often you have been late, how often u pay more than the minimum, etc.

Credit companies like you to leave at least a small balance on there or they wont make any money from you :) ... that said though, pay an amount more than your minimum and do not skip any payment!

After about 3 months of doing this I have increased mine by 40 points.

If i pay off my two credit cards to 0 balance in one month, how much will my credit score rise?

Your credit score will not rise that quickly. If you have ever looked at your credit report, the account information is usually a few months behind.

Can I put my credit cards in my original mortgage or do I have to refinance after the purchase of my

same as above I guess..ha

Can I put my credit cards in my original mortgage or do I have to refinance after the purchase of my home?

I believe that you have to refinance your mortgage to get money out for bills.

Do you really want to be paying for that credit card for the next 30 years though?

Can I put my credit cards in my original mortgage or do I have to refinance after the purchase of my home?

First of all pay off your credit cards.

After your cards are paid off and you have NO debt, then think about purchasing a house.

Credit cards are for emergencies only. You only spend as much as you can pay it off in full at the end of the month.

Can I put my credit cards in my original mortgage or do I have to refinance after the purchase of my home?

Wow...are you serious? You shouldnt be buying a house with tons of credit card debt. Pay off your debt, create an emergency fund, THEN get a house...do it the right way, not the irresponsible way.

Can I put my credit cards in my original mortgage or do I have to refinance after the purchase of my home?

Not sure that I understand your question----

But yes....you can consolidate debt into a mortgage loan; most lenders require that you do...but not after the mortgage contract is in effect---that would require that you refinance....

Another option to pay off debt is to open a line of credit (second mortgage) --- but this is only available if you have equity ( the monetary difference of what you owe vs. market value of your home)

Can I put my credit cards in my original mortgage or do I have to refinance after the purchase of my home?

you can ask for more money than you need,(the most common reason given is renovations). as long as the appraisal supports it and your credit rating warrants it, you should get it. another way to do it is to have a separate home equity loan to get the money.

P.S. if your using your home to pay off credit cards make sure you don%26#039;t fall in to the same predicament that got you here in the first place.

Can I put my credit cards in my original mortgage or do I have to refinance after the purchase of my home?

Paying your credit card with your mortgage is a bad idea.

A mortgage or car are secured debt. You default, the bank repossess the house or car that was put up as collateral for the loan. If you fail to pay a credit card, your credit card company can閳ユ獩 come in and take back the stuff you bought with the card. If you roll that credit card debt into your mortgage, you閳ユ獧e making it into secured debt!

Please don閳ユ獩 treat your home like a bank. That has caused many of the current foreclosures.

What is the difference between prepaid credit cards and debit cards?

so what is the difference? cheesy details i know but i%26#039;m in a hurry. thanks btw.

What is the difference between prepaid credit cards and debit cards?

A prepaid card, you put money into it, when it is gone, it is gone. Oh, but they charge you money to keep it going a long time, so if you do not use it, it will all go away anyway.

A debit card is attached to your bank account. If you have money in your account, you can keep going. Oh, if you go too far, the bank will charge you overdraft fees, so you will lose even more money.

What is the difference between prepaid credit cards and debit cards?

prepaid is just that you pay to have money on the card debit is a bank card about the same differant company... id go with a bank card

What is the difference between prepaid credit cards and debit cards?

Prepaid credit cards are like gift cards. You put money on the card and when the money is gone, you can%26#039;t use the card until you put more money on it. Prepaid credit cards normally have fees for putting money onto the card and some kind of monthly fee.

Debit cards are attached to your bank account. There aren%26#039;t any additional fees. When you use the debit card, the money comes from your bank account. However, it is not always immediately processed. Sometimes it takes several days for the transaction to post to your bank account.

Debit transactions may go thru even if you don%26#039;t have enough money in your bank account and you could rack up overdraft fees if you don%26#039;t maintain a check register showing all your check and debit transactions.

How can i cancel credit cards on yahoo music that i no longer use?

Go to wallet.yahoo.com and click on the %26quot;Already Enrolled?%26quot; button. Sign in using your normal Yahoo ID and password. That will bring up a list of credit cards you have given them. You can edit or delete credit cards there.

Note- Deleting your credit cards does NOT necessarily cancel a service you have purchased through Yahoo. To cancel a subscription or service you have purchased through Yahoo, go to billing.yahoo.com (sign in) and then click on Manage My Premium Services. You can cancel services from there.

How can i cancel credit cards on yahoo music that i no longer use?

Call the credit card company directly, and explain to them that you no longer authorize yahoo music to use your credit card account. If that doesn%26#039;t work, you may have to cancel the card, and open another account.

Why do kids get credit cards? isnt that illegal? how can i get one?

How can I get one if i%26#039;m under 18??

Why do kids get credit cards? isnt that illegal? how can i get one?

Their parents are the owner of the card, even if the kid has his/her name embossed on the card.

Why do kids get credit cards? isnt that illegal? how can i get one?

ask your parents to get you one, this is how the other kids get one unless they are stealing it from somebody else. If you decide to steal one, be prepared to wear stripes.

Why do kids get credit cards? isnt that illegal? how can i get one?

They get them from their parents. The parent is responsible for making the payments.

Why do kids get credit cards? isnt that illegal? how can i get one?

Your parents have to co-sign, which means it%26#039;s only half your card, and half their%26#039;s, and they can take it away anytime since they are the main applicants.

Some kids get %26#039;em because they are either trustworthy or spoiled.

I didn%26#039;t get my first card until I was 22. I didn%26#039;t get my first cellphone until I was 22, and I didn%26#039;t drive until I was 22. I still don%26#039;t own a house. I%26#039;m waiting for the GOP to allow a minority like myself to own real estate in the U.S. So far, they have delayed in approving that.

BTW, I wouldn%26#039;t recommend getting one. It isn%26#039;t a matter of intellect that will keep you from getting in debt. It just rises so fast and is easy to lose track of. If you do get one, make it one with just a $1000, and use it for emergencies, such as dental work or if your car breaks down.

Why do kids get credit cards? isnt that illegal? how can i get one?

The only way a minor can legally get a credit card is if their parent or guardian co sign for it.

Why do kids get credit cards? isnt that illegal? how can i get one?

Pre-paid cards are common enough to receive as gifts. If you want an actual credit card, your parent or legal guardian must sign up for a card and authorize and additional card for you.

Why do kids get credit cards? isnt that illegal? how can i get one?

Why do you want one? You and everyone else, adults included, should be careful of falling into the credit card trap. Most people will NEVER pay off their CC debt and will continue to spend money that they don%26#039;t have. It is a legal way to steal from stores in my opinion and it never is a good way to buy things. If you don%26#039;t have the money upfront then you can%26#039;t afford what you are trying to buy. Find yourself and cute little piggy bank and start saving money for things that you want. You will respect yourself more and be much happier!

Why do kids get credit cards? isnt that illegal? how can i get one?

Get an education first. (3 years at least)

Get a job.

then build a work history ( at least 2 years)

Then apply for a credit card through any bank.

it will take you some ears at least to get a credit card, unles...

Your dad is filthy rich a thousand bucks here and there is pity cash then you got it made!

Why do kids get credit cards? isnt that illegal? how can i get one?

if your parents sign for it, you can get one. its suposed to help you build credit and learn responsibility.

if you get a credit card, just buy gas. pay it in full every month. that will build your credit history.

thats what i did, now i%26#039;m 20, and i financed a brand new dodge truck on my own, no co-sign needed. in 3 years, i%26#039;ll be able to finance a house on my own

and you may be thinking debit cards. its just an atm card that works to buy crap. it can be used as a credit card as well, just with out the credit line, everything goes right out of your bank. The plus is no intrest, only overdraft fee%26#039;s if your not careful

Why do kids get credit cards? isnt that illegal? how can i get one?

Your parents would have to list you as an authorizes user on their accounts , , as to why kids get credit cards , ..Bad parenting , I would never teach my kids about getting in debt , nor about spending money they do not have , my neice had a credit card to %26quot; build credit %26quot; she got behind on one payment , now she is paying 38% interest... Credit is a financial trap , it is belived that debt is a way of life , that is so wrong , for example I just bought an acre of land , the listed price was 20 thousand dollars , if I had used the %26quot;credit %26quot; way it would be more with the financing charges ( interest) with that 20 grand the sellers would have to pay agent ,and listing fees plus taxes on the money , ..I offered them in person 6 thousand dollars cash , they signed the deed as 1 dollar , they get 6 grand in their pocket , ...so actually with cash I saved over 14 thousand dollars , same as when you buy a car , for 25 grand , and make payments it is over 30 grand using %26quot;credit%26quot; I go get the same car , I offer them say 16 grand cash money , I will leave with that car ,

Parents should be teaching kids to save everything they can , and do not pay these banks for letting you borrow money , I have worked my butt off over the years , I save all I can , and it has paid off , I am 38 no house payments , no car payments on either of the four I have , I have saved , and invested , I will be retired in my late 40%26#039;s before I turn 50 , while everyone with credit cards , and 30 year mortgages will work until they are 65 or dead , , I have let my money make money instead of giving it to banks . compare the banks house ( main headquarters) to your house , why put more into their house , instead keep the money in yours , If I can do it , anyone can , I am nothing but a Painter with a GED , and I did it all without credit . Credit is for suckers , why have borrowing power (credit) , when you can save lots of money with buying power ( cash)...Look out for yourself and your future , these banks do not do that , they look for their next victim ,and the next profit , ....

There is nothing sophisticated about buying on credit , if you buy a dinner , or an outfit with credit , it means you do not have the money to buy it , Credit does not build your net worth ....and Never has no one ever gotten rich by by spending what they do not have

Debt is nothing to brag about either , who cares what you are paying for , it is not yours until it is paid for . Pre paid cards , or pre paid anything is a rip off , the more credit cards accounts you have the more it wil hurt you when buying a house , because they have pre dertimined how much money the will allow you to borrow , based on how much you make , too many open accounts hurt in the long run

I would like to close 4 credit cards($0 Balance)but my friend said that it will hurt my credit, is i

It will have a temporary hit on your score. But having too many is also bad, because it makes it look like you have too large of a credit line.

If you must cancel them, do it slowly. One card every 3-4 months.

I suggest to visit the home site for the folks that developed the FICO scoring method that creditors use to evaluate you. They have an educational area that does an excellent explanation of this topic, and can give you lots of other advice to improve your score.

Go to http://www.myfico.com

I would like to close 4 credit cards($0 Balance)but my friend said that it will hurt my credit, is it true?

One open account is better than four closed ones, as far as credit is concerned. Close three, keep one open.

I would like to close 4 credit cards($0 Balance)but my friend said that it will hurt my credit, is it true?

One of the things that effects your credit rating is the ratio of credit you have vs. the balances. It shows discipline that you have lines of credit that are not maxed out.

I would like to close 4 credit cards($0 Balance)but my friend said that it will hurt my credit, is it true?

Yes, but you could, maybe close two of them, if they all have a $0 debt on them.

I would like to close 4 credit cards($0 Balance)but my friend said that it will hurt my credit, is it true?

Yes. Don%26#039;t close the account. Just pay it off and leave it there. Don%26#039;t use them anymore though. But don%26#039;t close account. Having available credit is very good at all times.

I would like to close 4 credit cards($0 Balance)but my friend said that it will hurt my credit, is it true?

If the cards do not have any annual fee it is okay to keep them open. Its shows you have a low debt ratio. However, if they have annual fees attached to them then it doesnt make sense to keep them open, close them. Just make sure that you report it to the credit bureau that you closed them due to %26quot;consumer request%26quot;. Inform the credit card companies in writing as well.

I would like to close 4 credit cards($0 Balance)but my friend said that it will hurt my credit, is it true?

Close the ones with an annual fee. Keep the others open and cut up the cards. It%26#039;s that simple.

Anyone knows something about Credit Cards with fixed rates? Thanks a lot !?

You won%26#039;t find one. Credit card companies can raise your interest rates for any reason. It%26#039;s called Universal Default. They will offer you a low rate to sucker you in and then raise it.

Don%26#039;t play the credit card game. If you pay as you go and live on less than you make you will have money.

No payments = cash in the bank.

CHACHING!

Of course the bankers and their loyal followers are gonna tell you different.

Debt free is the way to be!

Anyone knows something about Credit Cards with fixed rates? Thanks a lot !?

Fixed rate credit cards are often fixed at 9.9 percent APR after the introductory period. While a fixed rate credit card might seem more appealing on the surface it is important to realize that banks can and often do change their %26quot;fixed%26quot; rate credit card rates by merely providing a 30 day written notice in a nondescript mailing or as a buckslip inserted into your monthly billing statement.

Anyone knows something about Credit Cards with fixed rates? Thanks a lot !?

Credit cards can be very useful, but I only use them when I will pay the balance off in full at the end of the month and I advise others to do the same because the fees they CAN legally charge are exorbitant. However, credit cards offer some advantages--such as helping out if a dispute arises, some will give you cash back, and some will offer a warranty or extend one on a purchase.

However, they can ALL charge you more with a mere 15 DAYS advance notice in writing. Here%26#039;s a good response to a different question I think you should check out:

http://bankrate.com/brm/green/cc/basics3...

%26quot;Universal default%26quot; actually requires that you miss or be late on SOME payment to someone to trigger a higher interest rate. You could be late on your mortgage or the electric bill, not even a credit card, and bam! the rate CAN go up legally. As I pay all cards in full before it%26#039;s even owed, I don%26#039;t have any such experiences to report, but when I get a card, I also make sure I can pay online and monitor the card usage. I watch it like a hawk.

At bankrate.com they have a tab for credit cards and you can see the fixed rates, read their articles on card issues, etc.

http://bankrate.com/brm/news/news_cc_hom...

is the direct link to the credit card portion.

While it can be to your advantage to have a card, you must be on the lookout for identity theft. You don%26#039;t want to add anyone as an authorized user (they can charge on the card but don%26#039;t have to pay). You have to be careful of the number--it can be stolen while the card is in your possession. I only use the card when I could just as easily write a check or pay cash--for convenience and for my cash back. I strongly encourage you do the same. I also never wait more than 7 days to check on the status of my cards online. Don%26#039;t ever do that on a computer that isn%26#039;t yours or with others hanging around. I don%26#039;t want to sound paranoid, but you must be very careful or you%26#039;ll spend a lot of time trying to undo someone%26#039;s mess.

Why are they accepting me for credit cards when I have bad credit? I have 3 of them now?

Because they get commission by putting you in debt....cut the cards up and just use cash.

Don%26#039;t spend money that you don%26#039;t have!....You%26#039;ll regret it when the phone calls start.

Why are they accepting me for credit cards when I have bad credit? I have 3 of them now?

There are cards designed for %26#039;bad credit%26#039; people-- they have low limits, high fees, and high interest.

Don%26#039;t get any more-- a big part of your score is having the same accounts open for a long time not constantly opening new ones-- and more inquiries ding you too.

Use them responsibly and get GOOD CREDIT and then you wont be asking questions like this.

Why are they accepting me for credit cards when I have bad credit? I have 3 of them now?

You probably have very high interest rates and not a large line of credit...there are companies out there that specialize in credit cards for people with not so great credit because they know they will gain it back in the high interest rate they offer you.

Why are they accepting me for credit cards when I have bad credit? I have 3 of them now?

A better question may be: why do you keep applying?

Credit cards thrive off people who rack up interest payments, late fees, and missed payment fees. The more fees you rack up, the more money they stand to make. While it will take responsible handling to get your rate improved, and your limit increased, they%26#039;ll be perfectly happy to assign you a high-interest low-limit card.

Why are they accepting me for credit cards when I have bad credit? I have 3 of them now?

Why are you applying for them when you have bad credit?

Why are they accepting me for credit cards when I have bad credit? I have 3 of them now?

Credit card companies will still give you credit cards, but usually at a much higher percentage rate and they probably won%26#039;t give you a high credit limit. They have calculated the risk, and it is still profitable for them to take the chance on people with bad credit.

Why are they accepting me for credit cards when I have bad credit? I have 3 of them now?

Be very careful its not the types of cards that may come with a balance you have to pay before you can use the card, if it were me I would cut them up, and work on getting better credit

Do have to put in a credit card number if you want to use gift cards on itunes?

Nope! Look in the top right corner of your iTunes main screen. I don%26#039;t remember what the actual word is there (%26quot;Home%26quot;?) but inside you should see an option to pay by a gift card.

Do have to put in a credit card number if you want to use gift cards on itunes?

if you recive a gift card, it works as a credit card, so you put the number on the card into itunes and get itunes money.

I have some dept , credit cards, car loans, ect, whats that smartest thing for me to do, should I 2n

You should cut back on the extra%26#039;s in your life style so that you are cutting back on the amount of debt you incure each month. Cut back things like going out to the movies, going out to dinner, buying unneccessary items, etc. That will clear up some extra money each month, which you can then put towards your existing loans.

Taking out more loans to pay off existing loans suggests that you spend more than you make. When you cut back on how much you spend, you also help alleviate your debt. Start making double payments on things you can- your credit card is the easiest, because anything above the amount due still goes to the card, where as with some types of loans, you have to send in a specific amount above the amount before it pays towards the principle, and not the interest.

If you have enough paid off on the cars, keep them. If you still owe an arm and a leg, sell them off, and get cheaper older transportation. You don%26#039;t need a brand new car to get from point A to point B.

Taking out more loans or doing a mortgage is one of the DUMBEST things you can do, financhially right now. Try looking up Dave Ramsey. He has lots of information on his site about lowering debt, and getting out of it easily.

I have some dept , credit cards, car loans, ect, whats that smartest thing for me to do, should I 2nd mortgage

You gotta get rid of the high interest debt first. Good way to do this is to consolidate loans. Credit counseling may help here, or you can do it on your own. Taking a second mortgage or home equity LOC is a good way to do this, a 7% loan to pay of 20% credit cards is clearly the right action to take.

Car loans may be okay to keep, depends on your interest. Kill your credit card debt first and quickly.

I have some dept , credit cards, car loans, ect, whats that smartest thing for me to do, should I 2nd mortgage

Contact a credit counseling service. You will pay something for the service, but it is a lot less risky than a second mortgage.

I have some dept , credit cards, car loans, ect, whats that smartest thing for me to do, should I 2nd mortgage

Try to get an equity line of credit through your bank. Tell them you want to consolidate your debt into one monthly payment with a lower interest rate. If you have equity in your property, most banks will comply.

I have some dept , credit cards, car loans, ect, whats that smartest thing for me to do, should I 2nd mortgage

don%26#039;t borrow anymore again try to clear your credit and then cut up your cards borrowing money is a bad habit that people get into we can all live without doing it these companies are making a fortune out of you so start now and make it all happen good luck

I have some dept , credit cards, car loans, ect, whats that smartest thing for me to do, should I 2nd mortgage

Plenty of good advice here.

Does Family Dollar take credit cards?

No, Family Dollar only accepts Debit Cards. I think they need to get with the times. We are living in a cashless society!!!!!

Does Family Dollar take credit cards?

yes

Does Family Dollar take credit cards?

Why? Do you not have $6 in your bank account right now? Are you one of those idiots that buys rims for your Escalade while you empty out your bank account and live in an apartment?

Does Family Dollar take credit cards?

Each location may be a little different. In my experience, debit was accepted and I%26#039;m not sure about credit. My advice is to call the store in your area and ask.

If you only have a credit card but need something from a store which does not accept credit, you may want to request assistance from a friend or relative. Use your credit card for them at an accepted location and get the cash from them to go to Family Dollar. It%26#039;s a fair deal. Good luck!

What's the difference between how credit cards and debit cards operate?

thnx 4 answering

What%26#039;s the difference between how credit cards and debit cards operate?

Debit take out staright away. You have to have the money or overdraft in place to get this. Or you would get overdrawn fees. Overdraft is much cheaper.

Credit give you about four or five weeks to pay from when you bought. Plus interest if it is applicable because you don%26#039;t pay the full money every month. If you in full every month this is better for you because if you miss a payment they then waver the fees.

What%26#039;s the difference between how credit cards and debit cards operate?

Debit cards have the funds automatically withdrawn from your bank account where as credit cards are charge accounts that you must make payments on and your credit limit is based on your credit.

What%26#039;s the difference between how credit cards and debit cards operate?

with credit cards you spend some one elses money and the bank charges you interest ,,,with debit cards you spend your own money and the bank charges you fees

What%26#039;s the difference between how credit cards and debit cards operate?

a debit card is linked to how much money u have to spare in your account, it will only take out to that amount, a credit is a lone, u pay interst on this and is not a good way to buy anything

What%26#039;s the difference between how credit cards and debit cards operate?

I think debit cards are usually tied to your bank account, so your money is directly, and instantly, taken out of your bank account to handle any purchase.

Your credit card is an account completely separate from your bank account. When you charge on your credit card, you just pay the bill later on after each billing cycle.

The danger of using your debit card in public too much, though, is that you%26#039;ll be using your PIN number a lot in public places. You don%26#039;t want that kind of information to fall into the wrong hands, so I generally prefer to use my credit card over my debit card.

What%26#039;s the difference between how credit cards and debit cards operate?

in case of debit cards you have to have money in your account which is not the case with credit cards.

What%26#039;s the difference between how credit cards and debit cards operate?

Debit cards take the cash straight from your bank.

Credit cards allow you to choose how much to repay them after an interest-free period. They also can offer you perks for staying with them. They make their money out of high interest charges. If you are very good with your finances they can be useful, they can however be dangerous for the spendtrifts amongst. If in doubt don%26#039;t get one.

What%26#039;s the difference between how credit cards and debit cards operate?

Age:

Credit cards are for 18+

Some Debit Cards are for under 18s (Such as Bopo)

Function:

Credit cards are really mostly if you have a fixed income. With a credit card you can put money onto it and spend that money and also spend money you don%26#039;t have to a certain maximum, if you don%26#039;t pay the dept you will have to pay small instalments (like a mortgage) otherwise you may have some things repossessed (worst case scenario).

Debit cards on the other hand work similarly but you cannot use them if you have no money on them (thus under 18s are trusted with them, and credit checks are not needed).

Uses:

Credit Cards are for all round needs and can provide emergency cash.

Debit cards are mainly for purchasing off the Internet, thus having lower fees.

Hope that answered your question.

What%26#039;s the difference between how credit cards and debit cards operate?

All good answers

and there is also a catch - some credit cards offer a REALLY low

APR (Annual percentage rate) for interest - U N T I L

you miss a payment - and then 9.99% goes to 24% - W O W!!!

and you will be sorry -

What%26#039;s the difference between how credit cards and debit cards operate?

I use PayPal. I use it for purchasing items/recieving money (https://www.paypal.com/).

If you want to purcahse online using credit card then getting a prepaid credit card or a gift card can also work. You can get prepaid credit cards at many local banks, merchants, online or over the phone.

Visa:

Amex:

Prepaid credit cards are like credit cards except you have a balance of money on them. You have zero liability with most companies, and if your card gets lost or stolen then you don%26#039;t have to worry about charges.

You do not need to give out your social security number to get most prepaid cards, just a government issued ID at the merchant you purcahse the card from. Good Luck.

Genrally speaking, at what level will credit card companies chase after defaulted cards by suing, etc.? Thanks

Depends on how much you owe them and what company it is. Some do nothing just screw your credit and some are real jerks and sue for very little. (Sears in general)

Genrally speaking, at what level will credit card companies chase after defaulted cards by suing, etc.? Thanks

I agree with Jodi.

While it is rare to be sued for small amounts, I have heard of people being sued for credit debts that were less than $100. While that seems like a small amount, by the time court fees and the Plaintiff%26#039;s lawyer fees are added on, it ends up to be quite a bit more. (Plaintiff%26#039;s lawyers don%26#039;t care if the amount is small, if they win, they get paid no matter if the debt is $50 or $5,000.)

It just depends on who it%26#039;s with and how sue happy they are.

Genrally speaking, at what level will credit card companies chase after defaulted cards by suing, etc.? Thanks

I was sued by a credit card company and they won they will take you to court.

You can start getting credit by opening an account in a bank near you. Most banks have a program where you can put say $200 in a bank account and you get a credit card that has a credit line of $200. it is called a secured credit card. you must leave the $200 in the bank. declare bancruptcy, your credit is already fried, declaring bancruptcy will eliminate the debts once and for all.

how much do you owe???

I have 4-5 credit cards most have been declared charge off whats the best plan of action?

You need to get some credit counseling, try the following: www.nfcc.org. they can but you in touch with non-profit credit counselors.

You need to establish that the debt are do, that the people calling have the right to collect the debt, and if you will get credit for the payments if you send them. I hope you are feeling better and you life is getting better.

You can also stop the harassing phone calls. They collector MUST BY LAW, give you a copy of the debt in writing, and you have a right to have all contact be in writing.

Good Luck, I believe you can recover from this.

Go to creditinfocenter.com. Chances are depending on what state you live in, the Statute of Limitations on the collection of a dept may be close to expiring. However, I beleive Mass. may be six years from last payment. Try the site. It will help.

Can i use 2 credit cards in circuit city online ? how?

No, instore...yes

You will have to split up the order in how you want to pay for it and do 2 separate orders

Can i use 2 credit cards in circuit city online ? how?

You could use one credit card and then you could use some other form of payment like cash or gift certificate.

If I cancel one of my credit cards, will my score on my credit report be affected?

If you just opened the account and plan on closing it, your scores won%26#039;t be affected. If you have had the card for any length of time it will affect your scores due to losing history and available credit.

I agree with the other poster, pay off any balance and stick it in a drawer. Use it once or twice a year for a small purchase then pay in full.

If you are paying a fee to have the card, and you have had the card for almost a year, call and see if they will do away with the fee. If they won%26#039;t, and you don%26#039;t want to pay the fee anymore, it probably would be best to take a hit on your scores and close it. If thats the case, try to replace it with a no fee card before you close it.

If I cancel one of my credit cards, will my score on my credit report be affected?

no

If I cancel one of my credit cards, will my score on my credit report be affected?

yeah it affects your FICO score

so dont close it

just pay it off

and dont carry a balance

If I cancel one of my credit cards, will my score on my credit report be affected?

It depends on your credit right now. But to get some better info try reading the book %26quot;Total Money Makeover%26quot; by Dave Ramsey. He teaches you NOT to worship at the FICO alter. Great book with great info.

If I cancel one of my credit cards, will my score on my credit report be affected?

It will say closed by customer request. So it shouldn%26#039;t affect you.

If I cancel one of my credit cards, will my score on my credit report be affected?

yes. your score and your report will be adversely affected either way. Just like the others suggested, pay it off, but keep it active, and dont use it. The credit limit will be a factor as far as debt to income ratio is concerned, but it will look better than %26quot;closed by account holders request%26quot; to potential creditors.

Its a lose lose situation, sorry.

If I cancel one of my credit cards, will my score on my credit report be affected?

Yes in the short run. one of your credit score components is debt raio to available credit

for example: you have 2 credit card with 5000 each, you carry a balance of 2500. your debt ratio is 25%.

If you cancell one card. your debt ratio is 50%. It dramatically impact your score

Solution is paying down the debt first before cancell the card

How many months are added to credit cards after they get renewed?

I seriously need to know this.

How many months are added to credit cards after they get renewed?

no less than 12 months, and often 24 to 36.

How many months are added to credit cards after they get renewed?

Any credit card I ever had came originally with 1 to 2 year expiration. SAME for renewal. They have better things to do besides always renewing your card.

Wondered if anyone as had problems with their credit cards after giving your card details to tvdvdwo

I got a lot more junk mail. Other than that I didn%26#039;t notice anything.

If i have not payed my credit cards for a long time can this stop me getting a job as a security gua

just a way to legally discriminate without violating labor laws, they really dont care about your credit but if your one race sex or sexual orientation the required score is less than others.

If i have not payed my credit cards for a long time can this stop me getting a job as a security guard?

Depends on the company mate! Some companies dont employ people with debt i.e. the police etc don%26#039;t.

If i have not payed my credit cards for a long time can this stop me getting a job as a security guard?

You have to be a foreigner to get a job as a security guard in the UK. Everywhere i go they are.

If i have not payed my credit cards for a long time can this stop me getting a job as a security guard?

I dont believe they pull a credit check to be a security guard.

If i have not payed my credit cards for a long time can this stop me getting a job as a security guard?

I would think so as most would pull a credit report

If i have not payed my credit cards for a long time can this stop me getting a job as a security guard?

It could, as they will see the unpaid bills/collections as a risk for theft of money at a job site.

If i have not payed my credit cards for a long time can this stop me getting a job as a security guard?

Possibly. Many companies are doing background checks in this day and age. Part of that is a credit check. Home Depot is a company, for one that does this along with drug testing. If your credit is poor, Home Depot won%26#039;t hire you. They believe that poor credit is a sign of financial problems and that people with poor credit are likely to steal from the company.

If i have not payed my credit cards for a long time can this stop me getting a job as a security guard?

Possibly. Especially if the position requires a background check, which will include your credit history.

They may see your %26quot;high credit risk%26quot; as a possible security risk (they may see you as someone who would be willing to be bribed for money).

If i have not payed my credit cards for a long time can this stop me getting a job as a security guard?

Most probably Yes!

If i have not payed my credit cards for a long time can this stop me getting a job as a security guard?

u become a defaulter and they may visit ur unit, hence pay and join the job

any how u have to pay what u have spent on it.

If i have not payed my credit cards for a long time can this stop me getting a job as a security guard?

Yes, a bad credit rating means you can%26#039;t get any job that requires you to prove your integrity.

If i have not payed my credit cards for a long time can this stop me getting a job as a security guard?

If they have pursued legal action against you for non-payment, then yes it is possible this will affect your ability to get a job that requires a background check. If you are just overdue, then no, it is not likely they will take it in consideration for a security guard position.

If i have not payed my credit cards for a long time can this stop me getting a job as a security guard?

if the Security Guard job includes protecting money

or the cards have given you some kind of a crim record, then yes it can

but they don%26#039;t usually do normal credit checks unless it%26#039;s for a bank or securicor or something involving money

If i have not payed my credit cards for a long time can this stop me getting a job as a security guard?

It could. More and more companies are looking at credit card scores, which could effect employment.

If i have not payed my credit cards for a long time can this stop me getting a job as a security guard?

depends on where u r trying to work

My father passed and has 2 credit cards in his name, i hear they can came after his estate but he quitclaimed?

my condolences to you and your sister. The death of a parent is frequently a very painful time.

probate law is determined at the state level in the United States.

since we don%26#039;t know where you are, we can only respond with general ideas.

***

it may turn on whether your father knew he was dying.

if he did, many states will disallow any asset transfers made in anticipation of death that have the effect of avoiding paying off the person%26#039;s fair and honest debts.

if he did not know, some states will still allow his creditors to reach any assets that were transferred without significant consideration [gifts -- and the quitclaimed house qualifies] if the transfer has the effect of preventing collection of the debt.

other states may require a court hearing on the subject.

Louisiana law is so different that I have no idea what their law provides.

My father passed and has 2 credit cards in his name, i hear they can came after his estate but he quitclaimed?

Your fathers estate would be responcilble for the bills. They can not come after them home if it is not in the estates name.

My father passed and has 2 credit cards in his name, i hear they can came after his estate but he quitclaimed?

many credit card contracts state that in the event of the card holder%26#039;s demise, the debt is cancelled.

if not, the creditor has a right

to go after the assets of the

borrower, living or not.

no offense intended.

A quit claim does not protect anyone.

It only means, %26quot;whatever I owned,

I hereby give to so and so.%26quot;

When the creditor reviews the

date of the quit, he/she can state

this was done to avoid the debt.

Any good atty will be able to get the

quit voided and thus, the lender

of goods/services can sue the estate for payment. It is only fair!

My father passed and has 2 credit cards in his name, i hear they can came after his estate but he quitclaimed?

The estate is responsible for the credit card debt. If there is not enough money in the estate, the credit card company is out of luck. They can not come after the house if it was quit claimed to you.

Marketing Question ? Mid -term Exam? Security is the main reason. The amount of the clients purchase is known. It is scribed into the credit card%26#039;s approval activity, with the amount to be charged, Visa approves the amount and the customer gets the goods. So now, instead of every retailer carrying receivables, the credit card people assume the risk, and receive a percentage for their work. Visa is in effect factoring with recourse. If any problems arise Visa charges back the amount to the retailer.

How do pre-pay credit cards work?

The concept is much like the top-up cards used for mobile phones - you load money onto a pre-pay card to spend as normal on the high street or online, and top it up when you run out. The card acts as an account, so you can withdraw money from cash machines, pay bills and use it abroad, as well as transfer funds to other accounts and view statements. Like any other card, you have to sign the back when you receive it, and use a PIN number when making transactions.

The pre-pay card is powered by how much money you put on it, so it%26#039;s impossible to get into debt. This means there%26#039;s no credit check when you apply for a card. It also means they are more secure than debit or credit cards because you can only spend the amount of money you put on the card. For this reason, they are considered a good way to introduce children to money and the concept of budgeting, although this is the subject of much debate.

thx

How do pre-pay credit cards work?

You give them money, they let you spend money that is yours and charge you for it. Great scam promising help with starting credit

How do pre-pay credit cards work?

Kinda like a gift card. you %26quot;charge%26quot; it by putting money into it, and then you can use it like a credit card, until you have spent allthe money you put in it.

How do pre-pay credit cards work?

Its not a scam as others stated. Companies do this low-risk process for people with bad credit, or just starting out. You send the (reputable) company X amount of dollars and they put it in a saving account. That is the collateral for your credit., However much money you have in the savings account is the credit line for your card. if you ever default, they keep the money to cover their losses.

No, if you%26#039;re getting disability, then you should be able to pay your bills! What are you charging things for if you can%26#039;t afford it?

If you pay off all your credit cards when will it show on your credit report.?

Most cards report to credit bureaus at the same time they produce monthly statements.

If you pay off all your credit cards when will it show on your credit report.?

Usually within a month or 2. It depends how quickly your card company reports to the credit bureaus.

If you pay off all your credit cards when will it show on your credit report.?

yes it does. If it doesn%26#039;t show up in thirty days contact all three credit reporting agencies and complain.

If you pay off all your credit cards when will it show on your credit report.?

Usually within a month or quarterly. It depends on the reporting policies of the card issuer(s).

If you pay off all your credit cards when will it show on your credit report.?

Usually within a few weeks. I would recommend getting on a payment plan, rather than paying off all the debt. Your credit score is more affected by numerous payments on time than on how much debt you have. Debt is actually good. The trick is to have more stuff that you are paying each month. If you are making car, house, insurance, health club payments every month your credit will get better pretty fast.

If you pay off all your credit cards when will it show on your credit report.?

Yes, it will show up as soon as the credit card company reports it, but don%26#039;t be mistaken into thinking this will improve your credit. As a matter of fact, it could cause your scores to drop. What causes your scores to go up and your credit to improve, is having open accounts and paying them on time continually every month. If you pay them off, then there is no activity to show your creditworthiness.

Let me give you an example of how paying something off can effect your credit. This happened to me last week. I bought a new car, have made all of my payments on time for nine months now. When the finance company reported on my credit report this month, they showed my payments made on time, with a zero balance. It looked like I had paid the car off, which I haven%26#039;t. I got an alert from Equifax of a change on my credit report. I looked and my score had dropped 14 points because of this. The finance company fixed the error, but my score only went back up ten points, instead of the 14 that originally dropped....I got off of the point I was trying to make to you. People will tell you to pay off your charge cards and credit accounts. It%26#039;s great to pay them off so you don%26#039;t have the debt, but if you are trying to establish or rebuild your credit, you need to have open, active accounts, especially some credit cards. These are the fastest way to build up your credit. Keep your balances to about half of your credit limit, don%26#039;t max them out. Pay your minimum payment on time every month and your on your way to building good credit.

Are home loans and credit cards setting you up for failure as citizens of america?

and here we just wanted to survive on planet earth with shelter and food.......like they say there are no guarantees.........be happy that you are sucking some kind of air

Are home loans and credit cards setting you up for failure as citizens of america?

Nope. ive got perfect credit, i use my credit card for everything and pay it off every month, ive got great rates on all of my loans. If you use things the right way, they are perfectly fine, its only when people dont know how to use them, or abuse them, that they screw people over....but, most of the time, its the persons own fault %26lt;Most of the time, not saying the companies dont have some pretty shady practices, you just have to learn what they are, and avoid them%26gt;

Are home loans and credit cards setting you up for failure as citizens of america?

No, not me personally because I know how to read the fine print in any offer.

However, if you are talking about the majority of the population, then yes, the lenders are setting them up to become permanent debtors.

This has been going on for thousands of years. The Bible says %26quot;the borrwer becomes the lender%26#039;s slave%26quot;. It is as true now as when that was written.

How can i stop credit cards applications from comming to me?

I think I must get like 10 applications every week. HELP!

How can i stop credit cards applications from comming to me?

Whether you have good credit scores or poor ones, there are creditors who will target you. Most credit companies are able to sign up for a list that the three major credit reporting agencies sell. You have the option that your name DOES NOT appear on this list. When you obtain a credit report from these agencies, you will notice two types of inquiries. One is those that appear when you apply for any type of credit and the creditor%26#039;s id is listed, the other type is %26quot;invisible%26quot; and does not affect your credit scores and is used for marketing. You can request that your information is not allowed to be used for any purpose.

The three agencies are:

Trans Union

Equifax

Experian

Do a search on the net and there are links where you can opt out.

How can i stop credit cards applications from comming to me?

Just shred them up .

How can i stop credit cards applications from comming to me?

On each application, there is a place where you can reply and be taken off their mailing list. Check out the next one you get. Good luck!

How can i stop credit cards applications from comming to me?

I think it is impossible to stop. They just keep coming, and coming, and coming......

I just shred them all as they come in cuz Lord knows I have enough credit cards, and enough debt to go with it!

How can i stop credit cards applications from comming to me?

I have the same problem and asking to be opt - ed out never has helped the situation any.

How can i stop credit cards applications from comming to me?

If they have a prepaid Business Reply mailer, simply put a note inside that says %26quot;please take me off your list%26quot;, and tape the mailer to a brick before you send it back.

Oh, this may not work for you, but what I found very effective is sending them an invoice for $100 for %26quot;reading unsolicited advertisement%26quot; on my firm letterhead. I don%26#039;t get many repeats after sending that.

How can i stop credit cards applications from comming to me?

You can%26#039;t. They get your name off lists that they buy from places where you have credit cards, where you put name %26amp; address in an online sweepstakes, auto dealerships, State Bureaus etc.

All you can do is tear them in half and throw them away. If you don%26#039;t tear them up first, someone can fill them out and just have them send it to a different address and voila!, they have a credit card in YOUR name!!

How can i stop credit cards applications from comming to me?

I hate that too. All the paper they waste sending them out regularly. Some places send them out monthly. There isnt really anyway to stop it. What I did for awhile was just take the self addressed envelope seal it, and mail it back empty. Then they have to pay the postage for nothing.
