My boyfriend is trying to rebuild his credit and I suggested a secured credit card since he can%26#039;t get an unsecured. Now the problem is trying to find a good company that is not trying to rip him off with horrible fees or just take his deposit money and run. I%26#039;m looking for some info from people who%26#039;ve had actual experience with a company. Good or Bad...
Do you know of a GOOD secured credit cards??
I can help, not only do I talk about this on Y! Answers all the time, but I%26#039;ve had personal experience. Does your boyfriend have a checking and savings account? The reason that I ask that, is that some banks and credit unions offer secured cards. Some of the major banks like BofA, Wells Fargo, and USBank all offer secured cards. These, along with Orchard Bank(HSBC), I would recommend (I posted links below to each of their sites) I would stay away from New Millenium and First Premier as they have to many hidden fees that eat up the available credit on the card before it even touches your hand.
I hope this answer helps you out
good luck, and thanks for reading!

Look up community banks or credit unions in your local Yellow Pages. They will give you the best deals on secured credit cards. And, if you have any problems you%26#039;ll be dealing with a local outfit, not some faceless voice half a world away.
In most cases, local community banks or credit unions won%26#039;t charge any fees at all and will usually give you a credit limit 2 or 3 times higher than your deposit.

here is a list of secured credit cards on bankrate.com an educational credit tool. You can go on and find one that has the best rate, annual fees ect. I worked for a bank that didn%26#039;t offer secured cards and would use this resource to help customers.
